less than 24 hrs left till i go get my cousin from the airport...!
in other news, winter has offically arrived to the midwest. last time i looked at my weather channel link it'd said the temps were 23* with a windchill of 4*F. though it said the winds were suppose to die out by 9 tonight. surprisingly enough i'm disappointed there's less than a dusting of snow on the ground, otherwise this would have been near perfect conditions for snow rollers. they're quite a sight if you've seen such a thing before. so maybe this year we'll be lucky again. its been probably 4-6 yrs since i've seen them last.
i'm thankful the wind should be quailing shortly, saturday i'll be helping my aunt move into a much bigger appartment that she'll be sharing with her son and his family. i'm glad she is, getting older and all that goes along with it.
now i suppose i should go and look and see if we still have any of that liquid insulation left, cause its getting a bit tiersome with the wind leaking in between the wall pannels. afterwards definately be enjoying the rest of my evening with a tall mug of hot chocolate with REAL chocolate sauce

so, my cousin is coming back into town a week from tomorow after leaving for school up in oregon 7 months ago. i can't wait to see her-- she'd planned on surprising everyone since she'd lied and said she'd be back on the 14th. but i'm planning on surprising her by picking her up at the airport.. i need to call her brother and get everything straighten out so she's not waiting when i get there. though she'll have to leave between christmas the the new year's so she can get settled back in with time diffrences and everything.
everything's going fine with mom; still being herself (diets and her dont get along) tomorrow night i'm going to see the pices that misa has in the art show up at her school; since its digital art they're gonna use a projetor and beam the images back onto the buildings around campus, and so far the weather said it'd be cold but no rain from what i've seen. yes!! i'm anxious to see what all she's done. i went and sat up in the art building one night while she finished working on one of those find your own perfect angle still life paintings. so i'm excited to see what she came up with this time around. it'll be my first time seeing her art in a show.
um, random bit... does anybody know if there's a way to salvage a crashed virus bitten computer? since said cousin is coming back into town, and my brother always seems to have bad luck with computers, she promised she'd work on his when she came, but apparently his computer couldn't wait that long. now i'm trying to figure out if anything can be done till she gets here. even if i am technologically impared, i'm trying to think of what to do. i have no idea what kind of virus got it, and even if i could try and getting it going for just until she gets here, i think he'd be happy. it has a big problem of freezing while surfing and failing up upload a page. any ideas? |

yawn, good monday-morning
not that bad really... woke up late, but i guess that's expected.
mom's been wearing an ostiotic machine to help re-grow the arthritic bone they scraped out when she had surgery. not really sure if its doing much good, but plenty easy to get her hooked up in the morning. she's been wearing that for 2 wks tomorrow, and she'll have to keep it till the first of december. still has to wear her collar but its more of a minor annoyance rather than required. really only when she's in a car that the collar is required.
saturday i decided to be diffrent that morning and hand-made a breakfast pizza for everyone. yes, i know how weird that probably still sounds to you, nita ~_^ i'd say it went over pretty well; they demand it for every other weekend *headesk* after that we got out and cleaned up the yard since all the leaves had pretty much already fallen, i'd say we picked up about 1/3 of an acher, even if there's still ALOT more land to be picked up, that's what people see as they drive by, so its about as much as we have time to maintain.takes all day, but looks great.
there was guy that came and said they'll start digging for our water line in the nex week; maybe even get to it this week. sitll not sure when, but doesn't it figure soon as you get all your landscaping done and looking beautiful, someone comes along and says they're gona tear everything up...? we knew they were coming... been waiting on it for 20+ years, now they finally get everything together. being as far out in the country as we are, it can take a while to get everything officializes. although it still hasn't been made clear yet if it'll be them or us who has to take down two big trees that are blocking the way. either way they shouldn't be here for too long. hopefully have everything done in a day...hoping...
sigh, *goes to finish more things*

it'd be interesting to see who'd respond back. though it'd be particularly worth while to see if it really was aunt tilly walking around my backporch at night, after we took part of her house and added it onto ours.
yes, i do believe spirits remained attached to their dwellings even if you move the building to an entierly diffrent location. |

i'm on skype; if anybody's interested im kiyokokubo (origional, i know)
mom goes back to the doctor tomorrow to see if she can go without the neck brace, but she's already doing pretty good without it. talks almost like she did before the surgery; though wether that's a good thing i'm not completely sure or not JK
just heard from my cousin that she'll be home from college close to christmas and i couldn't be happier, even if its only been a few months since she left for school. i'm getting somewhat closer to finishing my costume this year; hopefully i can get it done in time. though i might have bitten off more than i can chew, telling one of my friends i might be able to hand-make a pair of cyclops glasses for his costume; i have no idea at this point. he still hasn't gotten back to me on it if he does indeed want me to do them. so we'll see, i guess...

sad news, just got off of im with my cousin on mom's side only to find out she might have cancer. she's got emence belly pain and goes back to see what kind it is on 21st. i'm trying to think good thoughts but she's only 17. i just feel so sorry for her; i'll keep praying that if it is its benign, or that it's just cysts. |

eheheh, i'm not dead yet, just horrible tired,
sorry that i haven't been keeping up on everyone's journals; just got internet connection back after two weeks of runtime errors. cousin's bother got it back working after tinkering around for a bit with it. went to his little nephew's first b-day shortly before that. it was fun, thought not sure how much his mom likes getting bonked with each and every new toy he opened; still funny. other than that my mom's been in the hospital since tuseday to replace two of her vertibrea as a result of some serious arthritis in her neck. she should be coming home today, so there's still things i have to do around here to clean up and try and make her comfy. though not exactly happy with her nurses on two accounts.
A: she's got sinus drainage, which means she's heading straight for a cold.... we know she didn't have before going in there
B: someone took her colar off and failed to put it back on till we mentioned it
i'll be glad to have her out of there, even if it will be rough for the next few days, better than staying there and getting even more sick. after we left the hospital last night we decided to go to Hardee's; no big deal excpet the last time i remember being there the most popular thing on their menu were roast beef sandwiches and fried chicken.... now, its mile high beef burgers and mexican- accompanied by its own salsa bar.... somehow nestled in with a 50's atmosphere?? |

one of our male friends (misa and i) is turning 18 next sunday and we're thinking about getting together to get a gift. kinda thinking about something funny along the side, he's got a good sense of humor. we have a few ideas, but any suggestions for 18?
okay, probably the most unexpected thing that's happened to me, talking to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) yume_supernova on msn late last night and were both looking through power thrist videos when... quite litterally...? the padding on my headphones decentigrated while they were attached to my head. there were just black specks all over my shirt and the right head bud was completely gone; the other just barely clining there. X~X
these are the kinds that just slip over you the backs of you ear, since regular ear buds are just way too big for me. i haven't been able to find ones like them ever again...!

bord. felt like reminising a little, and realizing that it was a good idea after all to pick up a few extra things while getting misa ready to go back to dorms last week. a little bit of Mike's and a game of WOULD YOU RATHER... with her parents turns out to be quit amazing. not to mention still being pretty well sober at the end of it all, though its twice the proof of beer. not bad for a swig at a whole bottle this time, stead of a little sip.

dug myself into quite a deep whole last weekend, and the week before, ...LITTERALLY...
we finally got to finish some of the plumbing that'd been bugging us ever since we moved into the new house. in which before our plummer had it rigged up so that water from the washing machine and dish washer ran out a hole in the floor of our basement and out to another drainage spot by the road (since we live in the country) problem was, soap and dirt would clog up and meant an often times wet smelly basement. so finally we rearranged the pumbing outside and went several feet out before burrying a big barrel 3' lower than the new pipe, then had to go out another 15' and dig 7' LOWER than that to get to the old pipe and connect it all together.
i've had enough experiences with dirt now to last me the rest of my life XD
even more surprised the morning after when i wasn't really that sore ~v~ ...relief...

in the mean time still waiting to see if my job application went through; even if it will be a week wedensday since i last applied. could have done it right there in the store, but its on a computer too and going to the same place, and it wasn't like it'd have been there and back any faster... Not sure what to do now, thinking about applying for other places if its gonna be a while and i'd have a backup plan. but if the application goes through, it wouldn't be smart to turn it down union jobsecurity. any place around here besides them would likely hiher on the spot if i did. and with these guys they make you promise specifically on the form 'no calling and bugging'
sigh~ just tired of the wait; hopefully in the end that'll be worth it

after a busy weekend of relay, yesterday a long time friend of mine came by wanting me to help him find this Michel Star, his tattoo shop just opened in newport IN; since i've been going to that town every year of my life. my friend got new piercings while i looked through some of the guy's old tats he's done. he's done all of my friend's ink, and... i'm SERIOUSLY thinking about it now! i've always wanted to, just never had the time or money. but now that i do, its been bugging me wether or not i really should
partents aren't very fond of the idea; never have been. but it'll on my shoulder so it'll easy to coverup when they're around. always wanted it there anyhow. but i've always respected my parents, especially my dad, don't wanna disappoint them. that's what i'm getting caught up on.
the guy's current portfolio got stolen so all i got to look at was his old work. he was pretty good back then... my friend will only let this guy do any more of his ink. (hey, he's got 23 piercings and 4 tats) anyways, a word to move me in either direction? |
